Clay Egan Racing

CLAY'S STORY

Clay Egan lived his life to the fullest. He loved to hunt and fish and spent his weekends racing
motocross or in the mountains scouting for deer. While growing up Clay loved to build things and work
with his hands. He always dreamed of having his own construction company someday. While working
for a commercial building contractor in his early 20's Clay began working on his general contracting
license.

On June 1, 1994, Clay was riding his motorcycle down a desolate mountain road in Eastern, Utah when
all of a sudden two stray horses appeared on the road and Clay ran into one. Fighting for his life, Clay
was life-flighted to the University of Utah medical center. With a C6 fracture in his neck, Clay was
paralyzed from the chest down, with limited use of his hands and was now permanently confined to a
wheelchair.

After about a year of rehabilitation with a bright new outlook on life, Clay started working on his general
contractor's license again and eventually started his first company called Clay Egan Construction, Inc.,
building homes. A life long dream had finally been fulfilled.

Since then, Clay has become a shining example of overcoming adversity. In February of 2003 Clay
started competing professionally in the extreme sports of rock crawling and rock racing. He is the first
and only quadriplegic in the world to compete professionally in these sports. Clay has gone on to
compete in four Supercrawl World Championships and has consistently finished in the top ten in the
nation.

Through his dynamic results, Clay has become a fan and media favorite. He has been interviewed on
many of the top TV networks, radio stations and magazines around the country. Some of those include,
MTV, ESPN 2, The Speed Channel, The Mens Channel, Discovery, FOX, DirtSports magazine, Crawl
magazine, 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility magazine and many more. Clay is one of the most recognized
and well known rock crawlers in the world.

Since then Clay has published his first book entitled "OVER THE TOP" The Clay Egan Story Pocket
Book Edition and regularly delivers his inspirational message around the country. Clay is currently
working on producing his life story into a feature film, from the script he wrote called "PUSH" The Clay
Egan Story. He continues to live life to the fullest and still loves to hunt and fish and spend his spare
time in the mountains. Clay currently resides in South Jordan, Utah.
